Starting its journey in 2016 on YouTube, SM Studio Film & Music has now grown into a recognized music label with an ever-expanding creative network. With more than 5.9 lakh subscribers, over 150+ million views, and 1000+ original songs, our channel has become a trusted destination for music lovers and artists alike.
Over the years, we have built strong collaborations with 20+ sub-labels and are proudly connected with more than 500 artists. Our family also extends to 20+ YouTube channels, multiplying the reach and impact of the music we release.
At SM Music, we provide end-to-end audio and video production services — from recording, mixing and mastering to music video shoots, editing, distribution, and promotion. Our mission is to support and empower artists by giving their talent a professional platform and a global audience.

FOUNDER
The driving force behind SM Music is its founder, Subhendu Mondal, popularly known as Papan Subhendu. An artist at heart, his love and passion for music inspired him to create this label and provide a platform for countless emerging talents.
Subhendu is a multi-talented professional — he is not only a sound engineer, but also a singer and a video editor, blending creativity with technical expertise to bring music alive in every form.
His educational journey began at Madhyamgram High School, Kolkata, and he later completed his graduation from Dum Dum Motijheel College. Beyond his professional work, Subhendu is an avid traveler, loves pets, and enjoys capturing life through daily vlogs, showcasing his creative side beyond music.
In recognition of his influence and contributions, he was honored with the Best Social Media Influencer Award (2022) by Today’s Story, a renowned media platform.
With his vision, dedication, and passion for the art, Subhendu Mondal continues to inspire artists and audiences alike, taking SM Studio Film & Music to greater heights every day.
CO FOUNDER
Arpita Biswas, the Co-Founder of SM Studio Film & Music, is a talented and popular singer in the Indian music industry. She joined the label in 2017 as a co-founder and has since become one of the strongest pillars of the company’s growth.
Arpita has built a strong independent identity with her soulful voice and dedication to music. All of her independent songs have been released under this label, further strengthening her bond with the brand and its vision. Her personal YouTube channel has grown to over 9 lakh subscribers, reflecting the love and admiration she has earned from audiences across the country.
Academically, Arpita pursued Botany and completed her Master’s degree from Scottish Church College, Kolkata. However, her true calling was always music. Choosing art over a conventional career, she turned her passion into her life’s path and has successfully created her own vibrant fan base in the Indian music scene.
As a co-founder, artist, and inspiration to many, Arpita Biswas continues to contribute immensely in shaping SM Studio Film & Music, while also carving her place as a renowned voice in the industry.
